More FAQs- How long will acrylic floors last?
- Can I strip floors with urethane finish?
- Why should I get tile & grout professionally cleaned?
Wear of any finish depends greatly on the foot traffic in your facility, how the floor is used and the cleaning practices that are employed. Typically, the average lifespan of acrylic finish is about one year.
Urethane is strippable, if necessary. However, when the product reaches the end of its life cycle, it can be abraded and recoated without stripping. ServiceMaster of Kingston, Belleville and Trenton has products and procedures designed specifically for this purpose.
High traffic gradually dulls the floors and the grout becomes dark with dirt. Regular mopping only removes surface-level dirt and often leaves residual dirt in the grooves of the grout. This is particularly troublesome if your tile flooring has not been properly sealed as grout is highly porous.
